Gold and Turquoise

I have been really busy lately and haven't really had time to blog much which is a shame because I have missed it. I've been doing some shoots and other exciting things. My interview with Ella went live on her blog  yesterday. It is part of her Blog Business Month. Its such a lovely idea and I was really happy to be involved! I can't wait to read all about the other businesses. I will be giving this blog a makeover soon and I'm going to be blogging more often. I really enjoy doing it I just need to put more of an effort in. A really talented illustrator Jaymie is designing my new blog header and I seen a sketch of it today and it is beautiful. I can't wait to see it when its finished! Anyway these are some nails I made ages so and I felt like wearing them the other day. I'm obsessed with gold and turquoise I think they go so well together! Well I'm going to go eat more cookies and finish watching Buffy ♥

My nails this week

I decided to wear some false nails this week because I wanted longer, pointy stiletto nails. These are just the false nails that I sell that have been filed into the shape :) I would love to get acrylics but we're not allowed to have long nails in college. Don't want to be poking anyone's eyes out.

Barry M Blue Moon. I think I made this colour slightly dark though with some other Barry M nail polish.

I saw nails like this on last months company cover of Jessie J and I thought they were amazing so I had to try them out. I thought getting the line around the edges was so difficult. But this was my first time trying it so I'm pretty happy with the result. 

I've had a busy weekend, decided at 9pm last night that I would go out. It wasn't really a great night though maybe I was just too tired. I can't wait to get back to Dublin in September. I'm really going to work on my portfolio this year and hopefully start meeting new people and getting jobs :) I might be working on a shoot either tomorrow or next week so I'm pretty excited. Oh and I went a bit mad on the Illamasqua sale and lovemakeup.co.uk. I bought loads of lovely things that I will do a post about them with they come. If you haven't already look at the Illamasqua sale its so cheap!

This week

I've been so busy this week that why I haven't been posting as often! I've been really busy during my elective. I helped out my model Katie with her shoot on Wednesday. She was doing a Sixties themed shoot. I find sixties makeup really hard but I think it turned out cool. I had to give her model a beehive and I had to use mannequin padding to puff up the hair! haha. Then on Thursday I had my own shoot. I done quite simple makeup and shot the photos in black and white. I really like taking photos in the studio its really fun! Then after Thursday I had to get everything ready for the Closet Clear-out on Saturday. It was a really fun day! I am going to try to do more events like that!

Unfortunately this week is going to be as busy! I have my final assessment for my elective this week and then I'm going to London on the weekend to the IMATS. SO excited!

Favourite Nails of the Week #6

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday & got everything they wanted. I always get really bored on Christmas day so I'm very excited to be going out again tonight! Here are my favourite nails for this week. No more Christmas nails *phew* I'm at home until after New Years and I don't have much nail art stuff so I don't know what kind of stuff I'll be able to post about..sorry! Slept in this morning and missed my only class of the day so I had some time to fit in some nail art. I didn't think these were going to be as hard as they were!

Also we've been making moustaches in college. We have to take each strand of hair and knot it on to a piece of mesh. Its meant to be therapeutic but I just get really into it. Weird I know. We were also doing theatrical aging which was hilarious seeing everyone in my class looking old and wrinkly! I don't think I'll be putting up any pictures from that haha x

Just moved into my new flat yesterday. Its small but lovely. I moved in with my boyfriend of two years. Its scary but I know we'll be okay. Anyone else live with their boyfriends? Today we're not doing much so I decided to practice on some nail wheels. Started another one with more nail art so I'll have that up soon too. Going to Corfu on Friday mega excited! :) x

Dolly Mixture Nail Art

Here a link to my little nail art business. I hand paint false in loads of different designs and I take custom order. I started it up in June because of summer holiday boredom and I wanted to earn some money. Its still in its early stages but I would love it if you would have a look. Once I get back from my holidays I will be giving it a proper makeover. Its a bit too messy for my liking at the moment. I just want to make it a success :)

I know I posted this here before but I've fixed it up a bit since then. Still haven't got business card either :/ Need to wait till I go back to Ireland then to Corfu then move back to Dublin..STRESSFUL! bye x
