Perfect Skin

Obsessed with backstage fashion week videos. I've been researching looks for a portfolio shoot I have coming up and this video is perfect! Christian Dior at the end is my favourite. Pat McGrath is a genius!

Mood board: Natural Glow

For my natural photo shoot I was looking at photos of looks backstage at some Spring/Summer fashion shows for inspiration. I noticed a lot of fresh glowing dewy skin that was slightly bronzed and I thought this would be perfect for my look. Inbeauty magazine is an amazing magazine for detailed pictures of makeup and hair at all the shows during fashion week. The magazine comes out twice a year and is full of inspiration. I'm not sure you can buy it here but theres an app version that comes out six times a year. I would definitely recommend it! Here is my mood board:

The main emphasis of this makeup would be highlighter. My model has great skin so I am thinking of using MAC face and body foundation so I don't cover her skin too much. A tiny bit of concealer to cover any dark circles or blemishes. I want my model to look naturally sculpted so I will probably use a foundation a few shades darker than her skin tone to contour her face or a cream pigment like Hollow from Illamasqua.
To highlight the skin I think I will stick to cream products and use a cream colour base from MAC like pearl or hush. I prefer using creams because I think they look more natural. If I decide to use a powder I would use soft and gentle MSF from MAC.
For the eyes I will either leave them bare and just apply mascara and some individual lashes. Or for a more dramatic look I would apply Colour tattoo in bad to the bronze from Maybelline all over the lid and quickly blend towards to the crease. To blend the colour out I would use my contour or bronzer.
Powder the skin around the t-zone and around the nose. Apply bronzer in a 3 shape on the sides of the face. I will lightly fill in the brows and use a brow gel to keep them in place.
I practiced this look on a friend to see what products to use and this is how it turned out!

Colour burst

I found these pictures on Instagram and I really wanted to recreate the look. They are from @pritylipstix. It definitely helped me with my blending! I prefer doing more creative looks like this sometimes but they are more challenging. Hope you like it!

Jut a quick post of my makeup today. Sorry about my mad hair it's a bit out of control today but I'm sick of tying it up all the time so I'm setting it free haha. I'm just wearing foundation (MAC Studio Fix), powder (Rimmel Stay Matte), blusher (Topshop Head over Heels), mascara (Soap & Glory Thick & Fast) and then on my lips I'm wearing MAC lip pencil in Currant and Revlon kissable balm stain in crush. I also wanted to show off my new sunglasses. I got them in eBay for less than €3. I love eBay but I'm so addicted to buying things. Sorry I look so moody I'm not really hahaha xx

Trollop

I bought some OCC Lip Tars a while ago from lovemakeup.co.uk. They don't have a great selection so I just bought some pink shades. I think there are more shades on cocktailscosmetics.co.uk. They are really long lasting and you only have to use the tiniest amount. Today I'm wearing a lip tar in Trollop 💕 I can't wait to buy more shades. Do you have any lip tars? What colours would you recommend?

Today's face

Well technically I didn't wear this outside today I was doing my makeup and got a bit carried way. I mixed my revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in Crush and Russian Red by Mac. Then I used my Sleek storm palette using the two matte browns to create a smokey eye. I wouldn't normally wear this much makeup during the day I always feel too done up so that's probably why I took off my eyeshadow. Would definitely wear this on a night out though :)
